Marjory is an author, playwright, motivational speaker, and trainer with a strong passion for increasing access to higher education for foster youth and other marginalized students. As a former foster youth herself, she recognizes that many of these young people face significant challenges in transitioning to adulthood, including a higher risk of negative outcomes such as unemployment, substance abuse, homelessness, incarceration, and suicide. In order to combat these issues, Marjory has dedicated herself to reducing these negative outcomes by promoting educational attainment.
Marjory understands that educational attainment is a critical factor in helping former foster youth achieve positive life outcomes. By using education as a platform for advocacy, Marjory has taken on a variety of leadership roles in educational and non-profit organizations. She has hired, trained, and led teams of individuals who are committed to academic rigor and equitable education for all students.
As an Education and Business Consultant, Marjory has utilized her extensive experience to assist organizations in achieving their goals. As a Project Manager, Assistant Principal, Board Chair, Project Coordinator, Operations Director, and Researcher Marjory has helped organizations clarify and fulfill their missions and ultimately make a positive impact on the lives of foster youth and other marginalized students.
